A Review of ZoomBucks.com

Updated on: February 7, 2015

Is ZoomBucks scam or a legit get paid to site?…

ZoomBucks is a GPT site, a lot like Swagbucks, where you can get paid to play games online, take paid surveys, complete free offers, shop, watch videos, and more. Basically, you can earn extra money on ZoomBucks for almost anything that you already do online everyday.

What is ZoomBucks?

ZoomBucks is a legitimate online rewards program founded in 2010 by Vikas Tailor of Canada.

It’s just like any other online rewards program. It rewards its members for doing lots of different things, most of which are designed to advertise products and services from their advertisers. Which is how the company can manage to pay people like you and I for doing such simple things.

Ways to earn ZoomBucks

There are lots of different ways to earn what are called “Zoom bucks”. These points can then be redeemed for cash or other prizes such as gift certificates. Obviously, the more points you earn, the bigger prizes you can get.

  • Complete your profile
That’s the first thing you want to do. That will get you 200 ZB right off the bat.
  • ZoomBucks toolbar
ZoomBucks toolbar is a lot like the Swagbucks toolbar. It allows you to earn points without having to login to your account. Just for installing the toolbar you earn 150 ZB
  • Search
It’s the same as with Swagbucks. You earn points for searching through their search engine. You can win multiple times a day.
  • ZDaily
It gives you a random number of points each day. Simply login to your account once a day, and click on ZDaily under Win ZBucks to find out if you won any points. You get to win at least once a day.
  • Offer Wall Visit
It’s basically where they have all the offers that you can complete in order to earn more points. But just by visiting that page called “Offer Wall” you win at least 1 point a day guaranteed.
  • Special Offers
They have lots of special offers that you can complete to win huge number of points. These special offers include shopping from big brand online stores, signing up for free trials, etc.
  • Take Surveys
A fun way to earn more ZoomBucks is by participating in available surveys. You will have at least 8 surveys available everyday that you can take part in, in order to earn more points.
  • Paid to Read Emails
Although, they don’t send as much paid emails as paid to read email sites like InboxDollars, ZoomBucks does send paid emails once in a while, which you only have to click on the link in the email to earn points. So, I wouldn’t pass up on that anytime its available.
  • Front Page Videos
These are 30 seconds to 2 minutes advertisement videos that will earn you 2-3 points for watching each one.
  • Referral
I think the best way to make money with GPT sites without having to spend too much time completing offers is by referring other people. Most GPT sites give you points for each referral, plus you earn a percentage of what they earn as long as they stay an active member. Thankfully, ZoomBucks also gives you 10% of your referrals points for life.
  • ZoomBucks Code
You can also earn a few points for entering whats known as the “ZoomBucks Code”. These are promotional codes that can be found on ZB, and also by searching the web. There are many blogs that are dedicated in providing ZoomBucks codes to their readers.

ZoomBucks Prizes

You can redeem your points for cash or gift cards. The lowest prize is a $5 PayPal deposit which will cost you 650 ZoomBucks.

You can also redeem your points for a variety of gift cards such as Amazon gift certificate, starting at $10 for 1000 points.

ZoomBucks PrizesPros:

  • All Countries Accepted
ZoomBucks accepts members from every country in the world. However, members from Canada, USA, and UK tend to do much better as there are more offers from advertisers tailored towards them.
  • Unlimited Direct Referrals
Unlike many other GPT sites that have restrictions on the number of people you can refer to earn extra points, you can refer as many people as you like.
  • They Really Pay
GPT scams are all over the place nowadays. I can’t count how many times I have heard people completing offers for weeks and months, but when it came to getting paid, they were simply ignored. Fortunately, ZoomBucks is not a scam. You can find payment proofs and lots of ZoomBucks reviews on many GPT related forums and blogs.
  • Fixed Minimum Cash out
The minimum for cashing out is decent. At only $5 minimum, it doesn’t take that long to get your first payment.

Cons:

  • Not Many International Offers
As I mentioned above, while ZoomBucks accepts international members, it doesn’t have many offers for members outside of the US, Canada, and the UK.
  • No Standard Time Frame For Payouts
Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to find any information regarding the wait time for receiving payments and prizes. But, by looking at a few forums and blogs, it seems like as of now, it can take anywhere from a few days up to two weeks to receive your payment, which isn’t that bad, compared to other GPT sites. I would imagine that this process will speed up as the sites grows. After all, ZoomBucks is only a few years old, and as with other GPT sites, it takes a while to see feedback from members, and change things accordingly.

ZoomBucks VS Swagbucks

From what I have seen and learned so far about both ZoomBucks and Swagbucks, they pretty much come out even. Although, Swagbucks is a much more older company, and enjoys a far better exposure thanks to its aggressive promotion tactics, as well as numerous mentions it has received by the main stream media, including NBC news, and MSN Money.

Want More Money?

If you have to only sign up for one paid survey site to make money with, I recommend Ipsos-iSay. Ipsos is the most fun and well-paying panel. Give it a try to see how you like it. It is free anyway!

Swagbucks’s search feature is much superior than ZoomBucks, while ZoomBucks beats SB when it comes to surveys and the number of points they award for each survey.

As far as getting paid goes, both companies are decent, but it seems like ZoomBucks has a much better support system. And I have heard from many other members that they always get paid extremely fast. But in general, I would say ZoomBucks and Swagbucks are pretty equal, and both are legit GPT sites.

Coclusion

In conclusion, although, ZB is much newer than other similar sites such as SwagBucks, in its short time in existence, it has proven to be a trustworthy and legit online loyalty program by paying its members month after month.

So, if you are on the fence about joining ZoomBucks, and aren’t sure if it’s a scam or a legit site, I would highly recommend you join ZoomBucks.
