We have all seen, websites and companies that charge a fee for showing you your credit report. But the truth is that you don’t need to pay to see your credit report. The Fair Credit Reporting Act (as amended December 18, 2010) entitles you to annually receive a free credit report from Experian, TransUnion and Equifax, which are the three main Credit Reporting agencies in the US.

Although, several other websites and services exist that provide credit monitoring and score information, most of them offer them at a cost, regardless of whether they require you to sign up, give your credit card number or accept their 30 day free trial offer.
