Get paid to advertise on Facebook! Would you believe it if I told you, you, as the average Facebook user, can actually make money with your Facebook account by simply incorporating sponsored ads in your status updates?…
The idea of getting paid for endorsing products and services through Facebook and twitter is nothing new – There are hundreds and even thousands of celebrities who are making a killing doing just that. But for the most part this whole idea of getting paid to do sponsored tweets and status updates ends there. The average Facebook user usually isn’t able to get anything from the whole deal, except getting bombarded with sponsored ads by celebrities they follow and like.
Try Swagbucks, the famous rewards program that pays you for watching videos, taking surveys, shopping and more.
Although, there have been many start ups that have enabled average twitter users to benefit from the idea. In fact, there are a dozen or so sites where you can register and get paid for tweets. But, there has never been anything like that for Facebook users.
Thankfully, that’s about to end. There are a wave of new start ups that are taking the sponsored status one step further, and making it easy for anyone, regardless of their social status, to have the opportunity to earn money through their Facebook accounts.
Ready to get paid to advertise on Facebook? If you are, here are 2 new start up companies you can register with free in order to find advertisers who are willing to pay you to advertiser their products and services within your Facebook account.
WingsPlay.com
Wingsplay was launched not very long ago, in fact its official launch date was March 2012. They only do video ads. Basically, you browse their list of ad campaigns, pick one video ad that you like, and incorporate that in your next status update on Facebook. The good thing is that you can also get paid to incorporate these video ads with your tweets, other social networking platforms and even i blog posts.
What makes these video ads apart from the normal ads you see on TV is that almost all of these video ads are funny, interesting and are the kind that won’t bore you. So the have a tendency to go viral instantly. And that’s a plus for those who are worried that their Facebook friends may not like sponsored updates.
By the way, for each friend you refer to the site, you earn 10% commission on all their earnings.
MyLikes.com
This site is a little older than WingsPlay, and unlike WingsPlay, it supports not only video ads, but also text ads. After you become a member (which is always free), you can search their database of ad campaign and choose ads you would want to incorporate into your next status updates. For every view or clicks your ads get, you earn commission.
If you have to only sign up for one paid survey site to make money with, I recommend Ipsos-iSay. Ipsos is the most fun and well-paying panel. Give it a try to see how you like it. It is free anyway!
You are paid on a weekly basis via PayPal or Amazon gift cards.
For now, these two are the only ones I could find that pay you to advertise on your Facebook account. But I am sure as the concept becomes more main stream, more and more start ups will come into play.
Also, don’t expect to make lots of money with these ads. I mean, depending on the actual ad and the advertiser, you could make a decent amount of money, especially if you have lots of friends on Facebook who are responsive to your status updates. But I wouldn’t count on getting paid to advertise on Facebook as a substantial source of income.
