Everybody wants to be on the first page of Google, understandably so. Your site on the first page of Google for big keywords means only one thing, huge amounts of targeted traffic and that opens up a lot of doors to good ways to make money with your site. Some people manage to achieve double indexing and get their site on first page not once but twice. That means, their site occupies 2 spots (out of 10) of the fist page results for the given keyword.
Most of us smaller bloggers don’t even think about double listing, because we think it’s to complicated and not for us. But, I am going to show you an easy way to get double indexed on Google.

What is double indexing or double listing?
First of all let me explain for those of you who don’t know what Double Listings or Double Indexing is. When a site has two spot out of the ten spot in the first page of Google for the related keyword, that site has been double indexed. Why is this important? For two reasons:
- It helps you for ranking for the most related keywords.
- It gives you a kind of authoritative position for the related subject, which means readers are more likely to click on your link for the term they’ve searched for. Here is what you can do to give your site a better chance of getting double indexed.
Pick a subject and write an article
Pick a new subject or a long less used niche related keyword, and write an article with that in mind. Try to be creative and use provocative (but real) titles. That is going to be published on your blog/site.
Rewrite the article and publish on web 2.0 sites (even article directories)
Next you want to spin (rewrite) that article and submit it to sites like Squidoo, e-How, HubPages and etc. Make sure you leave a couple of link in the articles with your keywords as your anchor text. For example, if your keyword for the article is “make money“, use “make money” as the link pointing back to your article.
Write a new unique article on the same subject
Wait about 24 hours or so, then write another article on the same topic as your last articles, but make sure it’s unique, and don’t forget to use your keywords. Now, this time, your keywords which are used as your anchor text will be pointing to your original article. That will create a backlink to the first article.
Link articles together
All that is left to do now, is to go back to your first article, and use one of the main keywords as an anchor text to link back to the second article. If you want you can bookmark both articles as well, it will give you a boost, but it’s not necessary.
Low competition keywords are easier to get double indexed for
Don’t be discouraged if it didn’t work right away. It takes time, depending on the competitiveness of the keywords you use. Depending on your skills on using the right keywords in the right places in your articles, it may take a while. The more you do this with your niche keywords, the sooner you will get double indexed, and the better you will rank.
If you have to only sign up for one paid survey site to make money with, I recommend Ipsos-iSay. Ipsos is the most fun and well-paying panel. Give it a try to see how you like it. It is free anyway!
Remember to use new subjects or keywords that aren’t widely used. If you pick big keywords, it will take you more writing and more time to get the double listing for your keywords, but if you use untapped keywords, you have a much better chance of getting there, fast.
I used this technique myself for actually a big keyword (Legitimate GPT), and about 24 hours or so later, BlogStash had the 1st and 3rd places on the first page for that keyword and some related ones as well.
It may not work for you the first time, but continue working on it and soon your blog or website will be double indexed. Then every time someone searches for that keyword, 2 of the 10 websites shown on the first page of Google will be your site. That’s one quick way to achieve double indexing, and give your site a quick boost in traffic.
