Paid Phone Surveys: 3 Ways to Get Paid

Taking surveys for money is a great way to make extra money without spending any money. However, most paid surveys are conducted over the Internet.

But what if you wanted to take paid phone surveys? Is there any survey company that conducts surveys over the phone?…

From my own experience of being a panelist on many different paid survey sites over the past 7-8 years, I only know of 3 ways to get paid for phone surveys.

1. Through MobileXpression

The first marketing research company that conducts cell phone surveys exclusively is MobileExpressson. MobileXpresion is a market research company that is focused on the mobile Internet experience.

As you know, more and more people are surfing the web with their mobile phones. And MX was formed to basically gather feedback from people about this new trend. Although, MobileXpresion was not originally exclusive to surveys about Mobile Internet use. It used to conduct all kinds of phone surveys. But they have recently shifted their focus towards Mobile Internet market.

Just as TV networks use ratings as a way to determine most watched programs, MobileXpresion conducts surveys over the phone to determine the popularity and importance of various mobile web sites and applications.

To join MobileXpresion you must be at least 18 years. Of course, you need to have a mobile phone with access to internet as well.

In addition to the incentive you receive for joining, you will also earn cash and will have lots of opportunities to win prizes.

2. Through online surveys companies conducting occasional phone surveys

Many online survey companies occasionally conduct surveys over the phone as well. I remember once I was invited to participate in a paid survey phone as a member of MySurvey a long ago.

So, you could in theory sign up with online survey companies, and get paid to participate in their online surveys, and whenever they have a phone surveys, participate in those as well. You can see my free list of about 40 survey sites that actually pay on this page.

3. Through phone survey companies in SurveyScout’s database

Survey Scout is not actually a market research firm. It’s basically a database of paid survey companies, a huge database I might add. However, you have to pay a one time fee of $34.95 to access their database.

And from what I remember from my own experience registering with them, they did have a few survey companies that exclusively conduct phone surveys. So, if you don’t mind the one time fee, you can sign up with them and get access to their list of phone survey companies.

Now, you might ask why would I pay for them when you already published a huge list of survey sites for free? As I mentioned in my recent review of SurveyScout, my free list is only about 40 or so survey companies, but their database contains a lot more than that. So, you could have access to more survey sites that potentially conduct phone surveys. Of course, you can always research online and find all those sites listed in their database for free, that is if you have lots of free time on your hand!

That said, if you really don’t have that much time to participate in lots of surveys, then don’t waste your money paying for SurveyScout, instead just sign up with a few of my top 10 paid survey sites.

Bottom line

Unfortunately, there aren’t many market research companies that conduct over the phone surveys nowadays. Conducting online surveys is far more easier and faster for these firms, and to be honest, panel members are more likely to participate since they can take the online survey whenever they like.
