If you’re in search of a legitimate site where you can get paid to take surveys, Opinion Outpost is a great survey site to start with. Though, since the mere idea of taking online surveys for money sounds almost unbelievable, lots of people seem to believe there is a scam going on with this site as well. No wonder why some people are asking “is Opinion Outpost safe or is it a scam”!
That’s why I decided to do a review of this survey panel to shed some light on this company and the way it works.
Try Swagbucks, the famous rewards program that pays you for watching videos, taking surveys, shopping and more.
About the Company
Opinion Outpost survey panel is one of the most well-known and legitimate paid surveys companies out there. It is a survey research service which is provided by Western Wats company. In fact, in the market research industry, this site is regarded as one of the most reputable survey companies.
So, its certainly not a scam, it’s a legitimate and reliable company that does pay its panelists.
The panel currently operates in a few different markets. So, to be able to qualify and register with them, you have to live in one of these countries, and you have to register through their respective site.
Once you register and become a member of the site, you will be receiving survey invitations in your inbox. You can also login to your account to access any available survey.
Once there is a market research study available that you qualify for, you can choose whether or not to participate. You can either choose to participate, or simply ignore it. Though, I would suggest once you start the questioner go ahead and finish it all the way so you can get your reward for it.
Each survey usually takes no longer than 15 to 20 minutes or so to complete. This is basically the whole process of taking surveys with Opinion Outpost, or any other real and paying survey site.
Each survey comes with a reward. When you receive a survey invitation, it will tell you what the rewards is. With them the reward is in the form of points which are called “Opinion Points”. These points can be redeemed for cash once you reach the minimum requirement for cashing out.
10 O Points are equivalent to $1, and when you have 50 points ($5), you can request a pay out. I remember a few years ago, when I had just started with them, they used to pay by check. But they have since changed the pay out option, and so, now you have two option: you could either set up direct deposit where your survey earnings are deposited to your bank account directly, or you can simply ask to be paid via PayPal. Either of these two options result in survey takers receiving their rewards faster.
If you have to only sign up for one paid survey site to make money with, I recommend Ipsos-iSay. Ipsos is the most fun and well-paying panel. Give it a try to see how you like it. It is free anyway!
Scam or Legit?
So, is Opinion Outpost a scam?…
I definitely don’t think so.
Are there survey scams out there?…
You bet there are!
But from my own personal experience with them, and from reading other reviews and feedback, I can tell you that this is a legit panel and not a scam.
Are there better and higher paying survey companies out there?…
But that doesn’t make them a scam.
The Bottom Line
To sum it all up, I think taking surveys online, whether through Opinion Outpost, Valued Opinions, MySurvey, or any other company, is a great way of earning extra cash working at home. Of course, it would be naive to think that you can get reach by partaking in paid market research studies.
That said, you can increase your chance of earning more money, by simply participating in more studies, which means registering with more paid survey sites such as Opinion Outpost.
